Hi guys, not sure where I should be posting this but...
I test drove an Ibiza 1.2 FR today but the clutch felt really strange..it seemed to have a really high biting point? Is this normal? It felt as if I was about to stall before any real power kicked in...

Thanks!

Similar to my wife's 1.2 TSi FR. Nothing to worry about, but it takes a little adjusting to swapping between by car and her's.

Welcome to the forum. I've just joined a few months ago.

I was really surprised how nippy it is. My wife upgraded from a Mazda 2 Sport (1.5 - 105bhp) to the 1.2 TSi 105 Ibiza. Technically the same power but the Ibiza would put the Mazda to shame. Sounds far better too.

Completely agree, I'm upgrading from a Fiesta Zetec S 1.6 turbo, but the Ibiza FR seems much quicker off the line and generally more fun to drive...sounds great too!

Have you had any issues with the Ibiza that I should be aware of?

I'm a fairly recent owner (bought in Sept 2016). So far no issues, funny noises, unreliability, etc.! One thing I didn't like is the triple spray windscreen washers. I've ordered 2 packs of the mist spray washers (for my Leon and her Ibiza) will post up photos when I fit them and if they're an improvement.

Good to hear! ok thanks,

do you have the 'Seat Portable System' in the Ibiza? If so, are they worth getting? I've read mixed reviews! I'm contemplating getting one purely for the Bluetooth audio streaming, but I shan't bother if they aren't that great

Welcome.
I agree with the bite being high. On test drive I asked if clutch is on way out.
Chap told me The bite on my mark 4 is a lot shorter than the mk 5.

Thanks Andy!
I'm hoping I'll get used to it quickly, they said they'd check the clutch to make sure there's enough/not too much fluid there...but it must just be a characteristic of the car like you said :)
