Hey Guys!

So after reading a few threads i thought i would register. I ordered a Nevada White Ibiza FR 1.4TSI DSG with loads of addons last week and i pick up the beauty on the 1st September which i can't wait for.

I currently have a 60 Reg 1.4 85 BHP Seat ibiza Sport so coming from this to the FR is a huge step.

has anyone got any advice or any reviews on the car as i've heard a few stories about the engine going pop etc. Luckily, it's got 3 years warranty on the car.

Cheers

Michael.

Michael,

I drove the '13' Ibiza FR when my Bocanegra went into the dealership for warranty work and I thought the power was right for the car, it definitely didn't feel like it was too less and it didn't feel overpowered either. It's a fun car and the handling is also good on it. It also sounds good as well!

But with regard to the engine going pop, my engine on my boc has been fine, and the 3 year warranty should give you some peice of mind for 3 years. If something does go wrong I'm sure Seat will fix it, with or without a little hassle depending on the dealer. Saying that however, your engine will be the newer type 1.4 TSI and I believe they fixed some of the problems of the earlier 1.4 engine!

Have fun in your new car in September mate!

hi mate I have got a 2010 Ibiza fr, I think its a great, of course yours is a lot newer than mine but I have just done a 700 mile round trip to Devon this weekend and its not used a drop of oil :) was a good fun drive mines got 21k miles and had iv had it since 14k and had no problems, so I would enjoy your new car when it comes and not worry too much :)
