Seat Ibiza FR - ABS and ESP lights illuminated

Hi everyone,

I have a 2014 Seat Ibiza FR. Recently the ABS and ESP lights have been illuminating randomly. Sometimes midway through a journey but more recently this morning they were illuminated as soon as I started the car.
However, turning the ignition off and on again gets rid of the lights and they don't return for a matter of days. There is no effect to the way the car drives. I'm stumped as to what this could be.

It's probably complete coincidence but the first time it appeared I had just driven over about 20 consecutive speed bumps. My first thoughts were a sensor had come loose and this was the cause of the lights but I'm no mechanic so hopefully someone here can help or has had the problem before.

You need to recalibrate the esp abs sensors I had that problem on my older golf 4.


You have to turn on car. Full lock left then right then straight line 200meters . Check to be sure but it was something like that

Hi thanks for the help! Will give this a go and see what happens. Obviously the lights usually appear after a few days so I won't know immediately but will post at some point to say if it was the fix. Thanks again for the help.

If the above fails. Take it to a garage and ask them to test the battery.

Also what engine is yours??
