Looks awesome now it's back together :D This is shaping up to be one of my all-time favourite Mk2's ;)

Thnx! :D

Had the car in one piece last week, but unfortunately some parts are a different yellow .. so.. have to wait some more..

amazing work, looks really good :)
and the yellow i think is a little deeper than normal? think the colour looks spot on aswell... id be well pleased

Thnx!
Compared to the old colour, this is really yellow! I held my old fender next to it the other day, and that was more grey then yellow haha!
now it hurts my eyes when its in the sun [B)]

The colour name is amarillo bengala, which is the original color.. could be the camera though, or my screen calibration.,

Next up are the coilovers, and if possible the rear axle from a VW Golf..

The front wheels have 2cm spacers, and the rear needs a stunning 6cm, on each side..
So, I hope the rear axle works out, which would leave me with 35 or 30mm spacers on the rear which is alot nicer ;)

Just had a nice vacation, so it was rather quiet in this thread.. But now the game is on again!

During my vacation I didn't just do nothing off course :p
The coilover kit is fitted, picture of this wil appear soon..

Unfortunatly the rear hasn't had any work.. the car lift is broken, and it's pretty hard to replace an axle with the wheels still on the ground
So.. I have to wait some more..

But! Because I had to wait, I could do some other things.. So, the dashboard got disassembled :)
The frame which holds the touchscreen needed some repairs, so I've done that.. Not really anything exiting here. i guess..

Besides the touchscreen centerframe, therewas another idea that I've had for a while..
A while ago I already started moving the tweeters (page 1)
So there was some left over space.. The original gauge pod of the Cupra (under the ashtray) is a nice place.. but they didn't think it through.. I had my turbo and oil pressure gauges there, and I never saw my peak pressure because i was watching the road!

So, the had to become a bit mor functional, but not the A-style gauge holders.. everyone had those..

To the drawingboard it is!

nb. The gauges don't really look round here.. but that's the phone-cam's fault.. crap..

After;
Nothing here yet
Hoping to get them back soon, won't tell where they are though :)

i really like that gauge pod

car looks stunning, needs some seriously wide wheels, if you was running 60mm spacers on the rear, that would be heaven for me, i could run 3.5 inch lips on some 3-piece split wheels lol
