Hey Guys,
Been awhile since I posted , hope all have been keeping well. Hoping for some info:
My 2009 1.4 Seat Ibiza SE has an abs light on:
1) The light is intermittent, if you turn car off and leave for awhile it goes away, then when you drive it and press the brake pedal you get a judder / feeling through the pedal (almost as if there are tiny stones between brake pad and disc and once you press pedal your feeling it through pedal) and then after a minute or 2 the light comes on, giving a code of 00287. Once the abs light comes on, the braking returns to normal, I.e if you didn't notice the light you would think anything is wrong with the car.
2) I have tested power at the connect plug with the sensor disconnected and get 1.996 - 1.998 volts.
3) I carried out a live test graphing the wheel speed sensors and got these results:
The faulty sensor seems to drop out intermittently, on consistent motorway drive, the results were carried out on the motorway and you can see the left side sensor has a nice consistent line. This is having me suspect reluctor ring.
I am seeing if there is anything else I can,.check before I condemn it to the wheel bearing reluctor ring.
Thanks as always.
