Seat ibiza Fr 2.0 diesel brake lights stuck on changed brake light switch

Hi everyone im abit stuck my car as been to the garage and changed the brake light switch and brake lights stuck on but when press the brake goes off to normal lights but when take foot off the brake then the brake lights comes back on im thinking of getting the brake master cylinder changed but wanna see if anyone had any similar issues and got it fixed

I think that this is a well established problem - but, so far, no one seems to have, after reporting it on VAG car forums, come back with a detailed version of how it was resolved.

From memory, this is usually caused by a wiring problem, chaffed wire(s) where it crosses a leg/stiffener of the car body.

Good Luck and please come back with a detailed description of how this problem was resolved.

Edit:- oh bother, I'm a lot late in responding to this thread, and I'm guessing that the OP has given up on using this forum for help - oh well!
