Seat Ibiza pd130 sport instrument cluster Issues

Hi all,

Got a little pd130 Ibiza Sport which is a kind of a little project car and have a few bits and bobs already done to it but now I have a wird problem...
Sometimes as drive the instrument cluster completely cuts out
It was a bit scary at first and didn't know how to react... When it happens the cluster goes completely dead but if the car is in motion than it will keep going and eventually will come back on (the cluster). If I pull over and stop the engine then will not start again only after a while...
So basically I think it is the cluster that needs replacing but cannot find any on the net...
Any thoughts on this issue?

Had this on my old one, ended up being the board in the panel, took 2hrs but reflowed all solders was spot on. Fuel gauge was still a little temperamental.

Many thanks supersticky,what you just said reminded me that I sort of had the same problem and was already once at a bloke because of a "temperamental" fuel gauge and a water temp gauge and he actually told me about the soldering issue...so I will definitely try it.
