No I bought one that was advertised as a BMW iPod cable and worked. Don't have the link to hand unfortunately.

Assume this only works for those who upgraded to have the iPod option on their car. I've got the mp3 player but no cradle so this won't work right?

Don't have USB outside the stereo if that makes sense
