Seat Leon 2007 Fault

I drive a seat Leon 2007. The EPC light and traction control light came on this morning and the power in the car drained. I turned off the car for a few mins and turned it back on and it drove no problem for about 10 mins then the lights came on again.
Is there anything i can check myself before i bring it to a garage that's gonna charge me an arm and a leg?

best thing to do will be to plug it into VCDS that will then fetch up any error codes and go from there where are you located?

It's not helpful but I had this happen to my VW Passat 2005 V5. I had it plugged in the VAG many times and whilst being on the open road. Unfortunately it only found one wheel running at less speed than the other 3. there were no significant fault codes, and tried 2 different garages. It happened all the time and would go into limp mode as soon as the traction control light and EPC would come on. Eventually it cut the power all together so I had no power steering when on a roundabout at the time! I was told it could be a sensor damaged whilst the front CV joints were replaced, but even the VW specialist couldn't make sense of it. Sadly this was the end of that car because it was sooo unreliable after this. I hope you have better luck than me because still to this day I am bugged by what went wrong. A good garage will prob sort it straight away! Good luck!!

I brought it to the seat garage as it actually just died on me on the main road. They put it on the computer no faults showed up. Checked all sensors and tyres just incase and couldn't find a thing. I think it may be time for a change just incase though.

I'm so sorry mate. It is a real bastrd of a problem. I was hoping SEAT might be more clued up. It really is an odd problem, but a major one. When it kills your car and yet there is nothing faulting, it is a mystery which must have a solution. I really wish i could have given you some good news. I was gutted when i had to give up on mine. Have they road tested it? Does your car have ESP? Mine did and I always wondered whether i should have had it switched on or off? It shouldn't kill your car, but i was clutching at straws after and always wondered if it should have all been turned on or all disabled? Sadly, no one seemed to make sense of the connection between traction control and the loss of power. let me know how it goes.
