Seat Leon 2021 Hybrid firmware update

Hiya,

I’m new here and recently got a lovely 2021 seat Leon ehybrid 2021.
However, it is running an outdated firmware (1780) and it won’t let me become the primary user and keeps nagging me.

I was wondering if anyone has a newer version firmware file that I can use? Or any tips on how to fix the primary user issue. The dealer won’t do it without chafing me.
I am very technical so I understand the risks of upgrading myself etc

Agreed.
My car although not a hybrid had the exact same issues. Fixed by updating modules, although the MIB takes ages so be warned whoever does it will need your car for basically an entire day possibly 2 days if your car like mine doesn't play ball.

If they had followed the technical bulletin correctly, it would’ve taken 2-3 hours

Our all in update service only takes 4-5 hours for MQBevo, and that’s every single outstanding software update

I suspect they are fibbing a little too tbh. It makes more sense that they probably had other cars before me and didn't wanna admit that was why I had to wait. Its a shame I live in Cardiff otherwise you probably would have been my first choice. My car is fixed now so I suppose that's the main part. however I do know they struggled to get the update to install.

However OP can probably expect a similar wait time or at least be prepared to as things don't always go smoothly. more so if they do to a dealer because they care more about oil changes and brake replacements so tend to do those first lmao. Then bring the diags in at 4:30 and act like they didn't realize half an hour wasn't enough time.
