What are you saying?

I have a Luna and no problem whatsoever with the colour matching.

Colour match on mine is spot on. Ive seen pics of others that however are not!

I went for the luna grey for a change. Ive had in reverse order.

57 plate luna FR TDI
54 plate Black Magic LC
03 plate saxo VTR (Wifes)
Y plate Ebony Black Ibiza cupra
T Plate saxo VTR - Some kind of black
K reg Escort 16v blue
K reg fiesta Black (wifes)
h reg Rover Black (Bag of crap!)
E reg Escort Black (wrote off!!)

so yeah quite a few black cars! hence the change to silver

The only problem with the luna, (apart from the paint not being particularly good on mine) is the silver FR mirrors blend in too much....
On a black one they stand out, Red too making the car look that bit more individual, Saying "FR" !!!:funk:

I had the same dilemma, but wanted the Leons curves and black front/rear to have impact, rejected both and went for Crono "ray of Spanish sunshine". No regrets.

However, if only black and grey had been available, I would have gone for black.

Black is fantastic, have had two new cars in black but ended up a slave to keep it looking good. Now have boring grey but car looks clean for weeks. Do you have a friendly car wash or loads of spare time then its black for you. Tough call.

Id hazard a guess what he was saying was from his bitter experience as well as seeing others in Luna grey was...

'The only problem with the Luna's are that the bumpers never really colour match to the rest of the paint work. '

I have a Luna. No problems of that kind whatsoever.

And i will have to get the rear bumper resprayed soon thanks to someone who scuffed it on the left side.

Funny cos the only thing i really really didnt like about my black FR was the silver mirrors, couldnt wait to paint them black.... they stood out and looked stupid.... but like anything thats only 1 persons opinion...

You only have to look on barryboys to see that taste is a very very individual thing :p

Haven't read all this thread but think someone has brought up colour matching on Luna. I have luna grey and love the colour, would have gone for black but it shows up every little thing and got fed up with it on S3 in the end. It's classed I've been told as a pearl paint and if you look at it you will always see different shades on the bumpers compared to the body etc it's the nature of the paint. Somebody dented my rear quarter and had to have it sprayed and it is more noticeable now with the rear quarter looking darker compared to the bumper but if I didn't point it out it's that many shades anyway you wouldn't tell.
It's not just dirt with the black it's the tiny scratches that everyone gets that show up REALLY bad but luna hides most ;)
