My licence is registered to that address so it should be ok.

Not worried about that too much for the time being lol just need to get insurance under £2000!

Just don't bother paying for insurance at all, you're insurance has been obtained fraudilently so you aren't insured anyway.

Mate I'm not sure if you read clearly, I live with my relatives MOST of the time so that's why I am insured on that address and that is where my licence is registered. So in what way is it fraudulent?

That's what I thought.

I'm 18, 1 years no claims, parents added on my insurance as named drivers and have declared my allow wheels, 1.2TSi, my insurance is £1169, compared to £3550 last year!

Adding my parents significantly dropped the price, we also paid upfront for it. My mileage is down as 10000 also.

Forgot to say i was with admiral last year. They sent a renewal of £2500. Did a search on compare the market and elephant was cheapest, £1150. Rang admiral and they matched it but had to change something so it went up slighy.

I think my excess is also £1000

Don't be a smarmy arsehole!! You dont fill us in on the whole story!!

Anyway the way you said it " i register my car to an address in oldbury" Suggesting you dont live at that address permanantly!! THUS making it fraudulent!

Wondering what prices other people are currently paying. I'm driving a 1.4 TSI and the cheapest insurance I was able to obtain was £1700 anually. Saving up for a Cupra but £3,000 for a year even with 3 years driving experience and 3 NCB is waaay to much.

Few tips. Avoid comparethe frekinmearcat.com they quoted £60 dearer for same insurance over moneysupermarket. Garage your car always brings it down and move to Leyland Preston, just insured my 2 year old Cupra for £305 fully comp.

..Maybe but you get a top quality soft toy delivered by one of the furry little f**ckers..

Don't forget to check out whether the insurer you're going to use is offering any cashback deals through Quidco or Topcashback as this can be over £100 sometimes..

Faisal - as long as your relatives address is the one you use as your permanent address on 'official' forms, etc and not just for your licence then you've nothing to worry about...but if not then these days with Insurers, Police and DVLA sharing info you'll be found out easy enough come claim time...:banned:

I paid £1100.00 last year and did a quote to see what I would roughly be looking at this year with 3 years ncb and it has dropped to about £860.00. I am well happy with that.

I'll try and help.

I'm 18, 1 years no claims, driving a 1.2tsi.
Last year i insured a 1.2 clio 2009, cost £3400 fully comp

This year it cost £1250 fully comp with a years no claims for a 1.2tsi.

For both years, admiral was the cheapest. Both years direct with them. I used all price comparison websites and then direct with many insurers but none could get close!

Might be worth trying them...
