Good morning all!

So i am planning to get a catback exhaust system fitted to get a nicer tone to the car.
(Current exhaust has no sound at all)

How much roughly am i looking to pay? Any specific brand is better than others? I know Miltek are good but also expensive =/

I currently got the Seat Sport center exhaust (K1 exhaust i believe)
Does this standard system have a catback? and is there anything i can do with it to make it come to life in terms of sound?

Let me know on your opinions
Thanks

EDIT: Added Pictures to help what exhaust is already installed

If you've got the tools then cut out the rear silencer and replace with straight pipe. Hell of a lot cheaper than a new cat back.

I dont have tools to do it and im not exactly DIY person haha.
Anyways doing this will it increase/decrease performance?
Or will it just give a better sound?

no increase in performance, you'll just get a better note....maybe motorway drone!

I had my silencer removed and stainless steel oval pipe for 200 notes and no motorway drone.

Doubt you'll get drone cutting out one silencer. Don't hold me to that though, someone on here has done it (can't think who) hopefully they see this and advise

I have the DP fitted and gut out the centre silencer and the car sounds awesome now under load. Normal driving you wont notice it but when you give it some it does sound amazing.

I have had my DPF removed (gutted)
If i install a 3" Downpipe will i get (Awesome sound)?
I heard getting a 3" downpipe might fail the MOT also?

Then again since my exhaust is already a catback, i was thinking in buying maybe a new custom backbox? Jus for sound ofcourse.....

What you guys think?
Thanks for input btw =]

If you already got your DPF removed are the guts removed the only other silencer in your system is the rear one isn't it?

Because your car has a DPF, the options are different to other cars, You car doesnt have a "Cat" as its built into the DPF, so you need DPF Removal, Youve had yours gutted so thats fine

1. Gutted DPF - You already have this
2. Milltek/Supersprint DPF Delete pipe

Cat-Back
1.OEM Exhaust - Youve got OEM K1 Exhaust, this will be slightly louder than a OEM PD170 exhaust
2.Milltek Resonated exhaust - will be quiter than OEM
3. Milltek Non-Res K1 Exhaust - will be louder than K1 Exhaust slightly

Your downpipe is fine now, just need to address then Cat-Back, you wont get drone with a Milltek Non-Res

i replaced my Non-Res because it wasn't loud enough when i had my PD170

Thanks for the summary AndrewJB once again great information for anyone who is interested.

By address the catback what do you mean?
And Miltek k1 exhaust backbox got a link available?
From what you have said you changed it because it because it wasnt loud enough, is it still worth the money? I dont want super loud just something with a note when i floor it =]

Milltek will give you a note when you floor it, it wont be that loud, you wont really hear it unless you remove parcel shelf

Milltek also burbles a little bit on tickover

Yes thats the one, it says its for PD170 but infact they are all the same, its just the reducer gasket that's different
