Hi

Just bought my Leon and am trying to connect my ipod to the stereo via the ipod usb port under the drivers seat, not having much luck, the stereo seems to recognise its there for about 3 seconds with an icon on the stereo display then this disappears and nothing else happens, the ipod is still chargin at this point but not able to access any music. Its an ipod touch i am trying to connect and the car is a leon FR550 2008.
Any help much appreciated!

that seems a bit strange seeing as though seat advertise the car as having an ipod conection!

From what I can remember its two different ports. You get a dedicated USB port and a dedicated iPod port.
Can't remember what was the spec of the FR550 though so you might only have the USB port.

The SEAT Leon FR 550 5dr special edition FR550 is based on the popular Leon FR TDI, with a raft of unique styling and equipment additions ensuring it looks every inch the track star. Building on the already racy FR’s base, the new model adds particularly grippy bucket-style seats with sporty integrated head restraints, arch-filling 18 inch ‘Draco’ alloy wheels, a USB connection (for ultimate iPod or MP3 connectivity) and, naturally, unique FR550 tailgate badging.

i thought it was a conncetion suitable for an ipod!now all i need to know is how to connect!

My daughter got a ibiza and ordered an i pod (usb and aux socket)at a cost of about £100 but for that to work she needed a lead and cradle costing another £65 this works fine on the ibiza. However this dident work on my leon as i have no aux plug only a usb, and I think you need the two to work an I pod.(touch)

Have you tried naming some playlists 1, 2, or 3, or so on?

I cannot really comment on the usb slot, i have the dedicated iPod one, and that is crap really. [:@]
