I have mounted/sqeezed my ballasts in the gaps at the top of the wings (roughly where the VIN plate is) nice and secure.

Thanks Rik, just got your PM too. mine wont fit under there with the brackets on. my only other option is to get some double sided foam tape and see if it'll go in with that on as opposed to the bracket.
Will let you know.

Anyone else put After market HIDs in and put the ballasts anywhere else?

thanks

Right.. I'm going to hang the passenger side one from the front right hand screw on the air filter box. It's plenty strong enough for it.

Only one I'm now struggling with is the drivers side...
What do people think about hanging the ballast from either of these two (pointed out by arrows)

The top one is just holding the washer bottle top to the bracket, but I'm not sure it'll be strong enough? maybe? opinions?
The bottom one is plenty strong enough, but holds the fuel filter on and the engine mount cover... I'm thinking that I shouldn't even undo that...

Ideas welcome.

All done! Fitted!

I ended up fitting the N/S ballast on the air filter, and the O/S on the washer bottle.

I think that i will go ahead with the dipped beam lights that i ordered.
But i would like the ballast more out of sight and hidden to try and blag my way through MOT when it is due.

To be honest mate, theyre THAT EASY to put in and remove, that you may aswell take them out at MOT time. They literally took me 10 mins to fit. Start to finish :)

...unlike my mates Golf Mk5 that took me 4.5 hours lol. Had to have the bumper off and lights out.
Even my Clio took me 1.5 at least... The Leon rules!
