Hi guys n gals,

Ordered a new Seat Leon SE Copa back on the 19th March, and it is now just over a month on. I googled to see what topics there were on this, and the only thing that came up on here was an old thread from about 4 years ago.

Soooo, here's a go at starting a new one. Would be good if people who have bought one in the last 12 months could specify which model they ordered and what spec, along with the time from order to delivery.

Hopefully this will serve as a useful guide for many out there, as well as satisfying my own curiosity :D

Tom

I got my Leon FR+ 170CR on the 29th March, six weeks after ordering it, but at first I was told by the dealer it could take 12 weeks.

Same here. placed my order on the 6th April for the se copa ecomotive. The sales said it can take up to three months, but I might get it in 8-9 weeks if i'm lucky. I have to say I'm not counting on my luck on this one.
Anyway, the damn car better be worth the wait!

Ordered mine mid march and was told yesterday that it would be ready for pick up in the first quarter of May. I was told 8-12 weeks while ordering so I'm happy enough :)

i ordered mine on monday (23rd april) and because its a motability car. I cant pick it up untill Friday 20th July so I really dont care or have a choice I still got to wait 3 months for it.

I'm just like a big kid I really cant wait pick it up now

My mate ordered an Ibiza... waited 8 weeks for it, went to collect it and they'd built him a leon:rofl::lol:
You couldn't write that could you?!

Anyway, he then had to wait another 8 weeks for them to build the right model!

I waited 3 weeks for mine but it wasn't a branny. Longest 3 weeks of my life that.

That is class! Reminds me of when I first went looking for a Leon, and when I waslked in and asked to speak to someone about a Leon, the saleswoman picked up an Ibiza brochure and asked me if that was what I wanted

Nice one. I bet it went something like this "So which spec Ibiza are you looking at, sir?..."
"Ermmm.....one of those Leon ones that I just mentioned to your colleague?"
:)

I rang SEAT UK about a TPI earlier in the week, gave them the TPI and my Leon reg and thry said "That TPI relates to a Leon, not an Ibiza..." to which I replied somewhere along the lines of "It's a good job it's a Leon that I own then?..."

I ordered a Nevada White Seat Leon 1.6 tdi SE Copa with the DSG gearbox on the 10th December and was told 12 week waiting time. The delivery date was 1st March 2012 the 4 day before l was due to pick it up was told there was a problem in the factory with the DSG box and now delivery was going to be 26st April 2012.

But got a call on the 19th March that the car was going to be ready on the 23rd March 2012. Picked it up on the 23rd and been happy since. Yes it's a pain because it's a long time to wait but worth it in the end.

At end of March I was told that a Leon Supercopa 211ps model would take 8 weeks for delivery . The dealer said they had a Cupra at the Port and could have it within 10days ,so thats what I got :D

Ordered my Leon SE Copa DSG 28th December it was here beginning of March though I didn't want it till the end of March, best car I've had for a long time

Well, phoned the dealership and they said the car has been built and is on its way from the factory, so guessing that means that it's on the water. Getting very excited now :D

Anyone have any guesses as to how long that process takes, from dispatch to delivery?

Tom

Not easy to predict but guessing it's coming from a Spanish port to either Sheerness or Hull ! Transport from Docks, pdi's ...do you do the lottery :D Just be positive, the dealer will know when it's at the Import Centre anyway and will give you a better idea of delivery .
Hope all goes well anyway and that you enjoy the car ;)
