Hi guys, I’ve not had a Mk 2 for a while, and then it was only the facelift.

Wondering if anyone can help one of our forum sponsors @Tony Thurston. He’s developing replacement S badges similar to ones he’s done for the Mk3.

On the Mk3 the facelift has a larger sized front badge to the pre facelift. Now I know the Mk2 has the older style S badge, but is it a different size between the pre facelift and facelift.

I’m sure he’d appreciate any help

Dunno. Chucking it down outside at the mo, but the S badges on my 06 Leon Sport (Prefacelift) are about an inch bigger (both width and height, front and back). Than my 2011 Cupra (Facelift). I'm not sure if that's a trim difference or a facelift difference.

Chucking it down... 2011 Cupra badge is about 7.5cm.

2006 Sport badge is around 9.5cm.

THanks @Legojon. I forgot they changed the whole boot didn't they as they changed the shape of the lights on the Mk2

Yeah, boot is different. Grills are different (and I've seen several designs of front grill) - whether the badges are all the same size based on grill I don't know.
