Seat tarraco 1.5tsi air box remove

Has anyone removed it before I’m getting a induction kit for mine I’ve been told it’s just pull out?

I don't know that car, but typically you will need to release and move the 2 constant tension clips that secure the inlet ducting and the outlet ducting to the air filter assembly, then it should lift-pull upwards off the fixings, check to make sure that there is not a small hose that needs removing before lifting the air filter assembly away from the car.

Edit:- to explain better, typically, the air filter assembly is fixed to the top of the engine by having 3 rubber "donuts" built into the underside of the filter assembly, and they get forced down over ball ended posts, so lock into place.

When I take these air cleaners off for the first time, I tend to start by rocking them to try to ease off the rubber donut to plastic posts bonds that have formed with them been together for some time. Then maybe grab one rear corner and try to force it up and off the post and then the same for the other rear corner, then same for the front but probably just try to lift that side up in one go as there might just be a single post there - or if there are another 2 posts then having eased up the rears already, the front side should be easier to lift up - worst case scenario you end up with the rears getting locked back down, but by then you have more confidence on how to remove the air filter assembly without destroying anything.

Just a word of caution - I remember finding a single screw at/near the front of the air filter assembly on a 2019 1.0TSI engine - if there is one on your car's air filter assembly, you should be able to spot it, so check for that and remove it before trying to pull the air filter assembly up and off the top of the engine.

Just an update to let you know it was pretty easy to install just the kit was a bit of pain to put together before u could install it. Works a treat nice turbo sound ?
