Seat V5 Clutch problem

Hello, I have a Seat Toledo V5 110kw
Since a few days, the clutch isn`t working fine. When I push the throttle pedal, in any gear, the RPMs goes up but the speed doesn`t, as if the car was in "Neutral" gear. I`ve already checked the brake fluids and are OK. Any suggestions?

PS. My english is not very good. Many thanks

What you're describing means the clutch is slipping, if the pedal still returns and doesn't stay down this will mos likely mean the clutch is on its way out - if you have problems with the pedal it might help to bleed the slave cylinder on top of the gearbox.

If the pedal works, and no drive only at tick over but slips as soon as power applied it could be the dualmass flywheel has gone kaput, this is an expensive repair usually 700 to 800 pounds to repair, as whole new clutch needed.........

By your signature title I'm guessing this happened to you and you swapped the car as a cheaper option?:D

Sold the car with 109k, the clutch went at 102k, it makes a nice bang and kick on the clutch pedal when it went, when inspecting the car when recovered and taken apart all 6 springs in the dual mass flywheell had disappeared, got replaced with a solid flywheel conversion, that why so expensive , dual mass is four part replacement. Other faults had started to appear and service due cambelt due brakes due and other niggles needed sorting, so got a reasonable deal on a car i liked so picked up new car this Saturday 22, but the old girl behaved her self for the first 102k of her life...
