The time has come to move my MK3 on, although I’m not sure what to price it at and the best place to list it is.

Any ideas?

The car is a 2014 (14 plate) 2.0 TDI DSG 184 FR 3 door SC with

Red
Tech pack ( Sat Nav, DAB, LED headlights)
Winter park ( heated seats, heated jets and headlight washers)
Titanium pack ( titanium coloured mirror caps and 18 inch diamond cut alloys)
Driver assistance pack ( adaptive cruise control and lane keeping aid)
Auto lights, wipers and auto dim mirror
Led interior light pack
Storage pack
Seat sound audio with subwoofer
Panoramic sunroof
Half leather half alacantra Seats
Cornering fog lights

The car has covered 65k, serviced yearly and DSG oil done at 40k

We buy any car reckon around £7900-8400 but that’s obviously based on a bog standard spec so I would hope the extras would add a little premium.

Cheers

Realistically what would you take for it?
All you can do is advertise it at that price and see what interest you get. Zero interest then the price is too high.

The miles and the 3dr is going to go against you with the majority of buyers, irrespective of spec.

Check auto trader, search for you exact spec and use that to help you understand the value (just remember that even though you can see them list for X price doesn't mean they're actually selling in that range). You could also visit a dealer and ask for a trade in evaluation.

That's a great spec, same as the one I ordered in 2015 apart from mine was .1.8 petrol. Prices are pretty much all over the place at the moment I would do as Col (and Pete) say, also have a look on auto trader may give you a rough idea .

Probably 6-7k

You never get what any internet page says

You can get a 16plate from Arnold ripoff with 10kish for 12000

The MK4 is also looking which will cheapen the MK3 further

My insurance paid out £9,770 on my 64 plate Leon SC that I wrote off 2 weeks ago (I'd only had it for 2 months). Manual & it had covered 61,000 miles. It had no optional extras apart from the Tech Pack, colour was white with the 17 inch alloys. I would say yours will be worth around £9k for a private sale but I'm no expert

Thanks for your replies guys

I’ve looked at auto trader and a few others and there’s nothing that comes close spec wise,

There a 3door with no options apart from titanium pack for £11k and then a really bog standard one with 65k for about 7.5

I would like about 9k ideally

I do know someone at work who's after a 184 DSG, but not sure if he wants 3 or 5 door. I'll have a chat with him on Monday. Has it been dealer serviced? Do you have any photos?

Just put your reg and mileage into the sell option on Autotrader and they will give you a price to advertise it and it's always in the ball park (easy)

The first 2 services where at a seat main dealer but since I’ve had the car it’s been done yearly /10k at my garage I use for everything. the DSG Box oil was changed by a VW specialist.

I haven’t got the best photos to hand but this is what I have on my phone. I will get some good ones

To be brutally honest the added optional extras won't make much of a difference come to the price, it'll just make it more attractive for prospective buyers.
2.5k-3k of options might be only worth a tenth of that come resale. I always pick carefully for that reason.

It's well worth phoning around to a good half dozen dealers if you want to sell it through them (much easier) as the price they offer will fluctuate between dealers.
