Getting close to ordering an FR (petrol) now. The only thing putting me off is the servicing plan (every 10,000 miles). I've spoken to two Seat Dealers and both have different answers to the following questions:

Can you put the Seat on a variable service plan as you can with the Golf GTI, Audi A3 and Skoda Octavia (all are availale with variable service plans upto 20,000 miles intervals depending on driving style)??

One dealer says Yes and the other no.

I know the engine can physically do it but if you don't stick to the 10,000 miles interval recommended by Seat you can invalidate yuour warranty??

Whats people's experience with this so far??

i would guess that if go for 20000 miles witout a service then your breeching the terms of the cars warranty because that states that the car needs looking after every 10000 miles.

my car is leased by the company i work for so we have to stick with service schedule otherwise the lease company would charge us for missing the services and reducing the value of the car because of the incomplete service history

The warranty states every 10k or every year, however - At Jennings we offer a special servicing package which we get authorisation from SEAT UK, for drivers doing high mileage. So servicing changes to every 20k! Need to speak to the dealer you bought your car from and they should be able to offer you this service. Its not advertised but is availabke to high mileage drivers.
