Hi guys

Servicing the other halls Ibiza tomorrow 1st Longlife service, does anyone know how to reset the service light and is there any different procedure for the Longlife set up?

Thanks in advance

(2011 Ibiza copa)

You can't reset it easily yourself if the car is on longlife service. You need VAGCOM or equivalent.

If not on longlife you can and it's described in the handbook.

The dealer will do it as part of the service anyway.

Correct Longlife can't be DIY reset. I would strongly recommend getting it done at a dealer at least whist it's still under warranty. Won't cost more than £100 - £150 and having the SEAT stamp(s) in the handbook will help at resale.

Thanks for the replies, seems our Solus syystem at work can reset it and also read the control units in depth!!

I know what your saying about dealer servicing etc but it really doesnt bother me, id rather do it myself knowing that its done properly without worrying about the car being with them etc. Service is done its cost me a genuine filter a sump plug and the correct long life oil less than £40, the books stamped with a VAT invoice to back up the work/labour and a correct SEAT service sheet filled in so there is no issues for warranty.

Infact ive done SEAT a favour by also replacing the faulty mirror switch which otherwise would have been warranty.
