Did anyone who didn't have a service plan included in the deal take one out separately?

Been offered the following 3 year "deals", unsure whether to take one out or just pay for services as they come:
Service Only - £14.82 a month (£177.84 a year)
Service & Maintenance (inc parts not tyres) - £20.78 a month (249.36 a year)

Do those sound good? What would be the estimated costs for normal servicing for the first three years?

I did not take either as the 1st service is £139 or less and the 2nd is £169 or less (at my dealer) so that avs as £154 a year, these prices are for everything needed for normal service. Tyres I will get from Blackcircles.com when they are needed, as they are cheaper.:D

You can a 4 year deal and that is defo worth it as the 4th year service is pricey. I pay ,£ 11.40 pm for a 1.2 tsi +dsg. Fixed payments in an inflationary world. Search for my previous posts as I did calculations to demonstrate this.
Maybe vwag caught on that it was a great deal and changed the terms

Based on the fact our Mk2 Cupra cost around £300 in servicing costs over the three and a bit years we owned it I decided against taking the service plan. Doesn't sound a good deal to me.

Ok, as a comparison I've been quoted £45 a month for service maintenance and tyres on 15k per annum.

I think £20 for 10k without tyres may be a tad much, but remember it's not just the service costs, maintenance includes anything that goes wrong not covered under warranty and you'll get peace of mind. Might be worth finding out how much extra tyres are, they won't be cheap :)

The factory bridgestones are £152.99 fitted or Michelin are £168.99 fitted. Blackcircles prices.

They did give me a quote for including tyres which was £38.38 a month (£460.56 a year) but I thought that was a bit ridiculous.

So sounds like I will be declining the offers, had service plans included with my last 2 cars so I was unsure on prices. Just hope that I don't get ripped off with the one off service quotes.

As for tyres just priced up some goodyear eagle f1 at asda tyres for £152 per corner so not too bad, might put something cheaper on the rears when they need it like falkens.

Thanks everyone for your input.

Sorry if this is taking it a little off-topic.
How much would the regular CUPRA services differ from say the 1.4TSI FR model? Obviously the wear'n'tear is more expensive bigger and more expensive tires and brakes.

But are regular services much more expensive for the Cupra compared to less powerful FR models?

When I last looked at these prices the dealer was charging not much more for the Cupra, (that's what I was quoting on in my last post) than compared to other models. As the labour time is much the same.
