I wo guna change it every 5k but it alot ov messing about and alot ov money for oil all time but ive hered its better for the car to protect turbo. Clean oil.

Well, I have a naturally aspirated engine therefore I do not need to change oil as often as people with turbo-charged engines do, which is why I stick to 10k.

My 1.2tsi is every 10k. However I left it 14k this time!

EDIT: not purposefully might I add, I didn't realise the manual said 10000 miles, so booked it in for a yearly service :)

When I had the Mazda 3 I went 5k, 15k, and 30k, and it never gave me any issues; however, I love my Leon too much which is why I want it to be in the best condition and shape possible, haha. By the way, I'm talking "k" as in kilometers not miles.

i would say depends on how old your car is ? , how many services it has done ? and how many miles you do taking into account short stop start journeys or long motorway journeys.

There have been a lot of instances on older higher milage cars with the oil pickup pipe being clogged and starving the engine of oil.

There is good advice above from other posters , the more oil changes you can fit in will be a peace of mind imho.
