silicone wipers

Anyone had a silicone wiper for their leon? I used to use PIAA ones on my last car, but they don't do aero-blade versions. Really missing the way rain used to just blow off the screen :(

I've found these, but the site doesn't exactly inspire confidence:

I've found some good writeups around the net, but none for a mk2 Leon - are our cars more sensitive to having a specific fitment of blade due to way they park vertically?

Thanks,

As long as they have a decent 'christmas tree' profile at the top you can retro-fit new blades into your old wipers ....I found this out the hard way after ordering 'refills' off eBay that were nothing like.

The ones I got had a plastic H (on it's side) section that was far too wide for the slot in the top part of the wipers, so - after carefully prising the plastic end caps off - I levered the little metal tab up that holds the rubber blade in place, slid the old rubber out, snipped my new 'refills' to length, and slid the new rubber into the existing blades ...without having to even take them off the car. Used some pliers to clamp the tab back down and popped the end-caps back on.
