and then just get the standard double din facia from Dave @ sere?

Have you got a picture of yours all set up?

Yep...simple job.

Only at night which is as much as a chocolate fire guard as you can't see the box bit (it was a photo to show the LED changes I did to the climate control)....will sort it out later for you.

Here you go...not a great photo using the iPad.

I truly like that. One of my biggest complaints about the Leon is the lack of storage space, and that would be a nice addition. Is that JVC good, though? I don't know if I've seen any single-DIN head units that actually caught my attention, besides the one by Panasonic, I believe, in which a touch-screen actually comes out by the touch of a button; do you know that one? My friend had it in his 1994 BMW Z3 and it was very nice although the screen quality wasn't good and felt like a Chinese display. I'm pretty sure there are alternatives from SONY or such, though, with the same idea of a touch-screen display coming out of the head unit. Of course when it comes out, it'll probably cover the shelf, but it'll be there for storage nonetheless.

I'm really pleased with this head unit. There are much better ones but this was cheap (just over £100), had 2x USB ports, Bluetooth (play iPhone through it), additional mic for the hands free, also connected to the existing steering wheel controls, has the ability to change colour when the headlights are on (mins goes red to match dash etc.) amongst other things. It also has great sound when combined with the sub and amp.

If I had the cash I would get a full screen like the Kenwood that Seat sell but what I have is great! Also, nobody really wants to steal a single din unit!

Oh.. those are some very nice features for that price. I truly like it.

Thanks for the information, mate. Can you provide me with the model number, by the way? The fact that it has Bluetooth and connects to the steering wheel controls is alone worth over $100.

Mate I have the full set up with a pioneer 113bt head unit. Including bt mic, iPod lead, shelf, steering wheel control interface and a quality iPhone holder with pass-through connector.

Basically everything you need. Took it out of my fr a few months ago.

Pm me if you are interested.

Cheers.

Forgot to reply to this!...the model I have is: JVC KD-R921BT I just bough the canbus steering wheel adaptor etc. (as shown in the FAQ section on installing an aftermarket head unit) and it works a treat. Can even change the iphone songs from the steering wheel controls! :D
