Side turn signals

Hi everyone!
Bought my Leon this year and didn’t really notice that my side turn signals (ones in the fenders) aren’t working at all.
Thought it was the bulb or something so i tried replacing it, didn’t fix it. Also tried replacing the unit with a LED unit but again that didn't fix it.
Sent the car to the shop and the guy told me that he can’t even see the option in vcds, like they fully coded are coded out no option for the turn signals.
Anybody had a simmilar issue? My registration is comming soon and I don’t know how to solve this. Any help would be sweet.

Hi there,
I had a similar issue where the side indicators stopped working after setting byte 18 in central electrics in VCDS to the Golf GTI 5K1, as I retrofitted the LED tick lights.
Due to the Golf not having side indicators, they did not work any longer.
A workaround would be to wire the front right indicator to the right side indicator and the same for the left side.
Did the trick for me.
