Not always, but 2 in the last 4 drives* EDIT (2 in 5 times...typical it won't do it now), my Leon FR 1.8TSI produces a low volume "buzz" or "vibration" from what I can only describe sounds like it is coming from under the steering wheel.
I first thought the obvious, check all the compartments for bits and see if anything was causing it by rattling. Nope. Seconds, "press" on parts of the dash, the plastic dials covers, door covers, windscreen etc to see if it was a compartment vibration. Nope. Third was see if it was driving conditions, road, temperature etc. Nope.
So now I am at a loss...will need to post a video if and when it happens again but what do we thing it could be? It happens precisely around the 2100-2400rpm mark, it is consistently there, it goes away a little below and a little above this number (say 2000- and 2500+), it is not a loud sound, it almost to best describe it sounds like part of the interior is vibrating under the wheel but holding and pressing and touching to no avail, it can be "felt" slightly when pressing on the lower plastic below the wheel but not through the wheel per say.
Any ideas? Will try to get a video sound recording up if i can catch the nosie again.
Oh and, only mods are a k&n filter i've had for about 1500 miles and just recently a revo turbo muffler straight pipe mod to replace the turbulent stock piece, fitted by vah specialists @ Unit20 Neston.
EDIT 1
Here is the noise and what I mean, did it on the way back from work: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tEKY-6gK6rs&ab_channel=dramen
Ignore the other taps and rattles that's just the road surface on and off. May need to turn the bass down a bit, but in the first 45 seconds you should be able to hear this buzzing/vibration sound that is ongoing (which is ofc more noticable when you are actuall there, my phone doesn't pick up the audio that well, but well enough!). Then when i go slightly slower, or slighty quicker over the first 50 or so seconds of the video you can here it fade in and fade out respectively. Quick correction on rpm, it's happening around 2100-2400 rpm and is no present over or under this number. What could it be?
