not wanting too sound stupid but can someone tell me why a clutch slips and what it feels like. heard a few people talking about it and not wanted to ask.

revs start rising erratically and not with any relevance to ur acceleration
like when u wheel spin only the wheels arent spinning like if u floor it doing 70 in 5th and all of a sudden revs go up like mad

Too much torque, and the clutch cant cope with it. Mines stopped for the majority now the warm weather is back, and Im not silly and boot it from under 2500RPM.
Just drop down a gear when you floor it on the motorway, and you should be ok. Ive done 20000 on my original clutch with an aggressive Revo map.

Does any1 know how much it is to change a clutch..or how long it takes so i can get an idea of labour charges etc.
Seen a nice performance clutch / flywheel package i like...was just wondering on time frame.
