So I was inspecting the earths under the battery....to check for rust, undid the 10mm one and it completely sheered....anyway to fix this? How would you guys do it, at the moment I’ve sand paint off around one of the battery tray bolt holes and put a bolt through that and fixed them down there but not ideal as the battery tray doesn’t sit quite right now.

Cheers mate, not really ideal, not had one snap like that before on me. The 2 rusty bolts are for the intercooler mount which will be coming off when I get a front mount anyway. Once I eventually get the car running right anyway!

Drilling that old bolt out might be tough unless you have a decent drill bit for metal.

You may consider leaving that and just drilling a new hole close by (check the underside first) and nut and bolt through that. Whack some good rust prevention paint over it all, both sides.

Plans are to tidy up the bay, relocate battery and washer bottle and respray the inner legs anyway so not too fussed about sanding bits back etc for now. Once its running right, then the tidying up and fun begins.
