SOS panel light flashing - workaround

Not sure if anyone else has the 2025 1.5 PHEV Leon, but since I got mine back in March, I’ve had an issue with the drivers side reading light surround flashing.

During the summer, wasn’t as much of a problem, but now coming into earlier nights and more driving in the dark, it’s rather infuriating

After coming back through some very dark roads I decided to turn my brightness for the main infotainment screen down (took me long enough to find the option!) the flash has stopped completely!

It’s not a permanent fix at all, but might be one to bear in mind if anyone else is having the same issue

I had the exact same on my Tiguan, the light unit was replaced under warranty.

I had an issue on my formentor with it too, and after having it replaced
It broke again, but was worse.
Basically ended with me getting rid of the car because the dealer couldn’t get it fixed

Might just try live with this one rather than risking it

Mines been alright since. The car only had 30 on it when it threw a wobbler.

I suppose replacing parts with the same defective parts is never going to be a great idea.
