See post #10

Been quietly impressed over my last two dealings with Snows SEAT Southampton, not usually a dealer fan... so must be doing something right - booked in for MoT next.

That happed at the old branch to my own personal car, another one happened about 3 months ago at the new branch. Story for that one is i had a car i was working on a 1.6 leon, I had just put a cambelt kit on (all pulleys and tensioner) the car for some reason went to snows for a mil light on. They phoned the customer up saying the cars timing was out and needed new cambelt and pulleys as they needed changing!. Needless to say the customer phone me up having a moan so i said bring the car straight to me and i would take it to pieces while they waited to sproved what utter rubbish they had been told. They took this up and i duley stripped the car for them there and then showed them the new parts (fitted correctly!) and then checked the codes again for them. A p0420 code for cat being no good as it was a cheap **** non type approved one. Chuff all to do with the timing in the first place! Needless to say the customer wasnt very happy with snows and wont ever go back! new cat decent type approved one and away they went. STEER CLEAR!

Went to Snows to test drive and potentially order a Cupra R back in Jube from Snows of Soton. When I got there the salesman on duty hadn't been informed I was coming. Did get the Cupra they had on sale out for e to drive. Then went through a quote and took details of my car as part-ex. Then they just ignored emails and call! Useless.

Thought they were reasonable for a service last week. Taxi to work on back included, for the agreed price. Had an error code, and they advised fault on glowplug 3, and reset light. No trying to sell me anything. Another advisory on a slight oil leak on turbo pipe, but nothing to worry about, £45 to fix when I want it done

I have been there a few times and bought 2 car's from there the staff are friendly enough but I have a trouble with them over my current car I bought it in December but had to wait a whole month for it due to bad snow as the hanger where the car was being kept was at the bottom of a quarry and they couldn't get nothing in or out day's and week's of it will be here tomor or here next week made me wanna give up my car but I couldn't cause I signed a paperwork which meant I couldn't get out of it when I did get the key's to it it was back within a month with bcu gone that was another 2 day's with out it and as alway's no car to give me while mine was being worked on that fixed a few month's later that arranged to have my wheel's spray couldn't thank them enough they look mint right it's now June and I been on to the seat website and seen bi-xexon bulb's that seat will fit for you order them and dropped the car down there to be worked on and they ordered the wrong bulb's went back the next day right bulb's this time but they didn't look different at all I also got them to check out the steering as I felt there was a lot of play in it and the guy had the air con on full and used a fair amount of fuel they do this every time again nice enough staff but they do walk a thin line

100k service tomorrow, plus some extra minor repair work, with a call from sales offering "good deals" yesterday, will have some offers for me tomorrow - could be interesting...

hmmm very p:censored:d off at the moment,

all was fine CS & Service & a chat too sales was all good, very good in fact.

Picked up the car, drove round the corner to fill her up, getting dark at 16:30 so the garage lights were fully on, got out, started to fill, looked at the roof &

f:censored:k me - looks like someone has washed my car with a brillo pad (those of a certain age will know what they are - think of wire wool used to clean old steel cooking pots & you'll get the idea)

Straight on the phone - the service lads were good (& genuinely upset) - took her back for the Dealer Manger & the Valet Manager to have a look at, both agreed that not acceptable & agreed to polish her up when in for pads & discs in a couple of weeks.

Although I'm happy with their response & positve attitude in dealing with the above this should NOT have happened - be warned & just drop a hint if your ever leaving your pride & joy for a service - wash & rinse it properly!!!

I've never got the dealers to ever wash any of my cars !! I've seen the idiots they normally employ in the wash bays

My own fault, let them do it last time, as I was planning it's winter valet treatment the following weekend, & in fairness they did an acceptable job, but this time I forgot to decline or say anything :(
