some funny goings on DSG mk3.5 cupra ST300

was just plodding along in 6th about 50 on a single lane country road

all of a sudden the car dropped itself down to S4. I manually went back to 6th

then it done it again and kept doing it

when I went down to 40 the car was in 5th and kept going into s3.

i then had a rev rise and a funny slight juddering noise.

any ideas what this might be? not driven it today and will try out later. hoping it's not too serious

Do you have access to an OBD reader? Any lights or messages on the dash?

Its because you are in Sport mode, you need to just put it in "D"

it was in D mode steve I am sure and it kept hopping to S

I have got an OBD reader to look for faults. nothing on the dash at all.
