Ok so sometimes when I pull away if I don’t drop my foot hard it will pull away to about 2k revs then feels like I loose a serious amount of power for a split second then back to normal is this normal? I’ve found it won’t do it if I Rev it a bit harder as I pull away.

Also when she’s cold and I first start it before it’s warm and the idle settles down I can see the engine rock ever so slightly intermittently suppose I’ve never payed attention before but thought I’d ask

Something mine has done since I got it and more so with the mods is on partial throttle it basically dumps the boost, no idea why and it’s quite annoying. N249 is bypassed so

Wow almost the exact way I’d describe it. It’s really off putting lol. Mine did it with the 249 before I deleted it but it’s definately more noticeable.

From my reading it seems that’s it a bit of a phantom issue that many people have and there’s no real cause found. I went as far as replacing my actuator hose and a few others and left it. Like you said it never does it unless I’m light on the pedal. I’m not bothering with it unless it persists after a remap

Could be many things - have you checked for any codes ?

It could be plugs - how old are they and are they the right type, coil packs - one could be breaking down under load a bit.

Could even be a sticky valve, injector or even a maf sensor....

It could also be a mapping issue where somebody didnt quite get the fueling/spark table quite right - this would be a factory issue and may explain why so many people are affected by it

Plugs are brand new oem recomended units. Coils all been tested and ok. Although not under load.

No codes at all so strange

Ha glad to hear its not just mine. Always done it for the last 60k with and without a map. I`ve put it down to a quirk of the car. Doesnt seem to affect performance at all

When I said map i was meaning the map installed from the factory - wonder if it had a slight bug in it - I have a bam engine and that doesnt have that issue (many others mindyou but not that particular one !)

Yeah it will be intresting to see if a map done by the likes of r tech badger or AMD will correct it
