Song Metadata not showing over bluetooth

Hi,

I'm having some trouble with the seat portable system (garmin) in that when songs are being played via bluetooth the track information like artist, title etc doesn't show up on the portable nav unit, it just displays the name of the device that it's playing from.

I can change track and pause the song that is playing on my phone so it seems that this is the only thing that it is struggling with in terms of bluetooth connectivity.

I've tried a few times to unpair repair, reboot the phone and portable device. Looking on the phone the car has everything access, media, calls etc.

Wondering if anyone else is experiencing/experienced the same problem.

It's a 2015 Ibiza FR and I'm playing music via an Android 7.0 Xperia Z5 with Spotify. I've also tried it with the in built music app and it's the same behavior, so I believe it's got to be something else.

Any help will be appreciated.

Have you tried resetting the portable unit settings? Know on my built in media unit you can do so for each part (CarPlay, phone etc)

I did a factory reset on the portable unit and still not working.

I can't seem to find where you can reset the individual settings on the portable unit though?

The only options I can see for bluetooth is ring tone volume, info about texts, sort phone book etc.
