Evening All,

Hoping some of you knowledgeable guys can shed some light on some questions regarding spec.

I'm looking to order a new SC Cupra 280. Been down the local and had a drive and more than happy with the way the car goes.

The model I drove was an SC 280, Monsoon Grey with the Sub8 + tyres pack.

When I try to build the same spec car on the car configurator (plus one or two other options) it tells me I can't have the sub8 pack with that colour. Nor with the upgraded nav or full link?

How come the dealer has got one in that case? Or have they recently changed what you can and can't have?

Any help you can give would be great!

Either the online configurator is wrong or they have changed what you can order, as there is a chap here with that config I think. It could be that they only seem to sell the sub8 with the colour packs online, which sounds wrong to me, again unless thats a new thing.

FYI, If you go for the cup tyres, make sure you have a change of wheels available for winters or another car to use... the car will be next to useless when the cold weather hits.

Brill, useful info re the tyres! Thanks for the reply too - I think it might end up being a chat with the dealer.

I've found the configurator pretty rubbish at having all the options that are ACTUALLY available there to add to the car you are configuring. I'd give the dealer a shout and talk through your options while he looks on his SEAT computer - that was much more successful in my case.

Ah that's a bummer :-(

Kurtje I know you went navi high - is it that much better than standard nav?

And what's other people's opinions? Navi high or sub8?

Personally I'd go Sub8 but I rarely use the satnav. Think hard about the cup2 tyres though, you need to have your wits about you in anything but warm/dry weather. I have a review in my sig if it helps.

Great review Ocularis.

I think you're right when you say hardly use the nav. And I tend to have a heavier right foot! So bigger brakes would be sensible ;-)

For me the Navi High is worth all the extra money! There is no delay, startup time is very fast, route calculations are done in seconds etc...

The MY16 nav in my Cupra is loads quicker than in my old MY15 184 as well as being much sharper and clearer.

I can't compare to MY15 or MY16 Nav High but I'm not left wanting for much more in the performance area of the nav, especially having FullLink I can use Apple Maps on the screen.

Thanks for the help everyone. Just had a chat with the dealer and he's told me they've checked with the factory and you CAN have both the high navi and the sub8 but no the SEAT sound and sub8 pack.

Very VERY close to placing an order. Been told October for delivery.

Taken the plunge and placed the order today...

Similar spec to some on here I think...

SC 280 Cupra DSG
Monsoon grey
Sub8 pack
Bucket seats
Panoramic roof

Been told realistically October for delivery

Since getting home I've decided to add the winter pack to the car too. Do I get a few days grace after placing the order before it goes spec confirmed or is that it now I've signed the forms??

Can't believe I missed it! Coming from an s3 where those were already on it I overlooked the pack entirely!

Doesn't winter pack come with the buckets? Or is it just the heated seats bit of it without the heated washers?

I think it's just the heated seats, I've got the full leather and heated seats. The dealer had told me they had no idea how long it would take for a new cupra to arrive at the dealership as they had ran out of wheels at the factory!

Anyone else heard about the ran out of wheels story?

Yup. That's why many have gone for black line or multi spokes in an attempt to speed things up.

Just to let you know, I have the Sub8 pack, high navi and the SEAT sound all in mine, so I don't know where he got that from

Thanks for that. Though in the end I decided not to go for the high navi as I don't really use nav as it is so thought it was a somewhat unnecessary expense.

Been told build week 44 at the mo..
