Right, well for the record, in no way am i accepting free merhandise/software to hype it up if it's not true!!! IF it's ****, you better believe i will explain it this way! I plan to be as independent as i can!

At the end of the day, i want to open up the market which is saturated with revo (for good reason) because as stated competition breeds better products/prices!

So yeah i think i will go down there on the 14th!

My plan is to post before and after graphs including a comprehensive review from start of the day to finish, including customer service etc!

Personally - I'd want paying for the privelidge of taking time off work, fuel, trialling 'unproven' software, fuel back to Revo, labour charge to reinstall map

So despite you saying you're doing it for free, or whatever version of free Al pointed out ;) you'll end up with a wedge in your back pocket to ensure you're satisfied.

Back to the question.... would I? Not a chance if what I had worked well. Especially from an adjustable software, to a non adjustable, assuming the CC stalk doesn't do much more than swap between a couple of steps.

On a total aside, APR seem not just happy to have an aggressive 'PR' campaign against other tuners, they've now gone into writing accusing forums (us) that we've been bribed or bought off to prevent them using the forum.

Incidentally - this is bollocks, Keith has a login, last used today (and has posted previously 77 times) - and has made no contact with us whatsoever. So I guess not everything people are getting told is the truth?

Make it a holiday? Stop off by Bedford autodrome and set a how fast lap time? Take the missus on a spa, or even come down for the Olympics aswell;)

Edit:

I don't understand what people mean by unproven software.

The car map has been confirmed to be fast by 5 forum users, 3 of em which frequent Scn, it has been independantly dynoed at 370hp, highest stage 2 plus car of the rolling road day I believe, it's been confirmed by the owner to be quicker than his jabba stage 2 plus map, and the demo car has been vboxed independantly and it's pulled times.

What more proof is required?

Nae chance - If I am going on holiday, I am going somewhere the sun shines and getting there by 747 ;)

Proof could be things like r/r plots (high peak numbers on a r/r mean nothing if the plots are shaped like ski slopes), VCDS logs, Proven performance, 1/4 mile time + terminal speed, VBox figures from something other than a demo Golf R DSG which is clearly going to accelarate faster than a manual Leon with front drive and no DSG etc etc etc.

In all fairness regardless of tuning company a, b or c, 99% of customers think any remap is "fast" compared with what they have/had before.

Nothing that has been presented is in any way conclusive.

Care to elaborate further mate?

I think Sniper should go for it personally. Although would the fact he's running a K04 upgrade rather than a Cupra engine make any differences or give APR any wiggle room for a slower car? Just playing Devil's...

Great point Dave - no point trialling a new map on a car that isn't running properly, unless Sniper is trying to get a little free diagnostic work - which might go some way to proving that APR's customer service is helpful :p

yea the ko3 engine is physically different internally to the ko4. if you went ko4 its advised you get better stronger rods
