Sound deadening

Hi. I'm looking for a little bit of advice. I've searched around and after reading about it have tried using flashing tape for sound deadening, but haven't noticed any difference to be honest. So I'm looking at getting some proper stuff. I'm mainly bothered about the boot/rear seat floor, and want to block out some exhaust noise. What would anyone suggest would be best for this? I've had thoughts along the lines of some brown bread or second skin adhesive deadening(these seem reasonably priced), with a foam mat layer on top of this. Would this probably be the best way to set about it?

Ok. hang onto some cash for that then! I've had this a couple days and it's made a little difference, so gonna leave it in for the time being till I can get a good amount of dynamat extreme. The carpet underlay, would this just be plain housing underlay, or the foam sort of stuff for cars?

TBH I have stuck dynamatt in the doors, the boot and the rear side panels.

I have stuck sound proofing in the roof and the boot and the side panels and it still is a noisy car (Mk4 Ibiza)!

But the stuff I got was something like SPT220 from a place in oxford (it was recommended on www.talkaudio.co.uk) and it feels pretty good, but I think you can sometimes be flogging a dead horse. The stuff comes on a big roll (something like 1m x 3m) and was about £60. I bought 2 rolls and have so far only used up just over 1.
