My car will be on pcp so don't want to go to too much effort to sound proof parts of the car

From reading the forum quite a few have sound proofed the flooring and the boot space is a common one to do.

Just thinking about how to do this. Has anyone stuck sound proofing material to the underside of their car mats and does it make a difference?

They appear to lift the carpet to stick it down is that right? I was thinking of just lining the removable car mats with a think sound proofing to see if that helps a bit. Probably most noticible in the boot if I get a boot liner and then attach a thick sound proof material to the underside.

Anyone tried it?
