Speaker rattle

ive got a 2011 5dr seat ibiza SE copa and so far its been ok but around a month ago my front passenger side speaker started to crackle a bit like its been damged, everytime theres a bit a base it sounds distorted from that speaker. i wanted to know if my seat warranty covers my speakers?

I bet they wont. They will tell u've been abusing them.

Hey, i had the same but from both front speakers, both my front speakers were found to be blown when I took the car to be checked at my local seat dealer and they replaced them under warranty a week later

i keep thinking i might replace the all the speakers in the car, just comes down to cost and just how much difference uprated ones will actually make to the sound quality.

A better headunit will make more difference to the sound quality with standard speakers, than new speakers with the standard headunit will make.

i visited the seat dealer today and they told me if the speaker is blown theyll replace it free under warranty but they said if it isnt blown and all they have to do is thighten the screws then they'll charge me £94 for taking off the door panel!! what kind of service is that!

That's just absurd.

You can always ask some1 to take a look and if it is blown then take the car back to the dealer. You'll save a lot of money.

Tell them the screws shouldnt come loose within the warranty period so they can cover the screw tightening under warranty too.

I've got the same problem with my Ibiza. I've recently treated myself to a 59'plate Bocanegra, and when i turn the bass up i get a rattle from the passenger door. Im hoping its just a screw thats come loose!
