Speakers

Hey,

Absolute novice when it comes to cars.

My rear left speaker has been crackling now for a while. I've disconnected it because I can't stand the crackle. Been looking into replacing the stock rear speakers. I've been looking at Alpine SXE-4625S http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/alpine-sxe-4625s.html or BOSS AUDIO SE462 for the same price. Has anyone got either of these or can recommend something for the same price?

leave them disconnected get some good speakers in the front and amp them and a sub in the back thats all you need

I would be inclined to agree - I regret spending money on 6x9s... with my components, i can barely hear the 6x9s - and they dont sound as nice..

Thanks for the replies.

In an ideal world I would upgrade the whole system but after spending £400 getting it through the M.O.T and a new cambelt very soon I'm going to go with the Alpine £24.99 speakers.

hehe thats fair enough, to be fair - any aftermarket speakers would be an improvement to the standard ones! especially if they're broken!
