Speed Sensor

I have a problem with the speed sensor on my car it keeps bring up the engine light i have had it changed and it has comes on again the sensor was new could anyone help or am i going to have to live with it. cheers if anyone can help - it a 1.4s 8v AUD engine

What was up with your car for it to need a new speedo sender ? Have you checked you have the correct sensor for your engine code ?

A local garage said that it needed doing when had the code read, i didn't think about it being the right one

It just seems a little odd for a speedo sender to need replacing. Is yours a MK2 or MK1 Arosa ? Im only asking as I had a problem with my speedo not working and spent alot of money trying to get it fixed when it turned out just to be a faulty earth wire.

Mk2 ya someone I know said something about the earth wire do u know where it is b/c I can't seem to find it lol

There is a sticky thread at the top of the Arosa section which, is a wiring diagram for the back of the instrument cluster. Should help shed some light for you.
