i have a seat leon sx 2004 1.6, recently when i put my foot down on the acceralator, the speedometer keeps jumping up and down, it fluctuates, dont know how that is possible, but when i take my foot off the pedal, it shows the exact speed, anyone had the same issues?

Does the rate that the trees go past the window fluctuate along with the speedo when you press the accelerator?

;)

You're either wheel spinning (doubtful with a 1.6 unless the roads are like a sheet of ice) or your clutch is slipping and you're mixing the rev counter and speedo up, or you have a very strange fault.

Slipping the clutch is when the clutch is worn and the engine revs go up but the speed does not. Could also be that the driver has their foot slightly resting on the clutch pedal. A bad driving habit that wears the clutch out.

In both cases the rev needle would go up without the speedo going up. That's where I thought you could be mixing up speedo and rev counter.

hmmm i was told by the seat dealer, that it was the sensor :/, it costs me 100 quid to change the sensor, so no option than changing it otherwise i will have the speedo going mental when i do long trips on the motorway.
