Spoiler

What you see isn't too bad thankfully. The rear tailgate and bumper need replacing. Already have the bumper need the tailgate next. Thankfully in these cars the rear end doesn't have anything that will cause problems if not done right. But thankfully I have an engineer who is magic with this kinda stuff. Worked at main dealers and is generally a genius. Everythingon this car will be as good as any none damaged seat once repaired and I can't wait

Im waiting to see one in person before i buy one!!!

Definitely worth doing IMO mate :). Ill show you a pic of mine before and after if it helps you make you're mind up lol.

Fyi;

The spoiler cost me £95 from my local stealers and they quoted me £300 for painting and fitting, but I was never going to go for that as I wanted it gloss black.

So I paid to have the tailgate spoiler and SS Spoiler wrapped gloss black vinyl which cost £60 including VAT. Then paid my local dealer about £90 to fit it (would of done it myself but if it ever goes wrong at least I can shout at someone )

So all in all it cost me approx £245, instead of £395 for the dealers to do everything plus I prefer it with both being gloss black, it makes the spoiler look longer as you'll see in the pics.

Thats the 5dr spoiler you have there going on the 3 dr. It dosent stick on, it sits on top. but that will mean when you lift the boot, the spoiler width will be too wide and will overlap the gap betweeen the tailgate and roof.

Im going to use the 5dr one like you have and trim it to fit. Think it will look better than 3dr

Have you seen the ecomotive spoiler? In my opinion it is the best you can get either for 3 and 5 doors.
I don't know how much it costs there but I think it is the best one.
Check how much it costs and tell me heheheh

By the ecomotive spoiler do you mean that ghastly big black lip they stick on?

IMHO I can't see how the 5 door spoiler will look better than the 3 door. But I'm open to persuasion

Just a quick question to anyone who has had the spoiler fitted.

Has anyone needed a new rear glass at any time ? How did they manage it ?

I was looking at an SC with the spoiler fitted and I can't see how they would replace the glass without taking the spoiler off.

looking at the 5 door spoiler as thats the only 1 iv had in my hand i can say it does go over your rear glass so replacing it would mean taking off the spoiler first. im not a glass fitter but id say its cant be done without taking off the spoiler

carefully,
I think they'd have to start at the bottom then round the top, the spoiler doesn't actually stick to the glass, well mine doesn't. There's some foam pads which I guess are there to cushion the glass in the event that the spoiler flexes and makes contact.

There's no much wiggle room but I think there'd be enough to slide some glass down and out.

Not faulting the spoiler at all - I think it looks good on the 3 and 5 door. Just seems to be a bit of an oversight by seat to create a spoiler that sticks on if you need to remove it for a glass replacement.

I want to fit one but knowing my luck I would need the glass replacing at some time.

I would much rather have a bolted on and removeable spoiler if possible.
