I've had a search but still not sure....I understand that a car will fail it's MOT without a cat however will it pass with a 100 cell cat? Also, will any 100 cell sports cat work or does it have to be specific to a 2.0TFSi engine as with my car?
Good point...surely it will pass once warm otherwise you might as well go de-cat and save the cash. What do people do when it comes to the MOT with a de-cat?...have it swapped over before the MOT?
It depends on the quality of the Cat which determines how much precious metals are used in its construction and hence how efficient it is. My 100 cell flys through its MOT. Remember a 200cell cat is twice as restrictive as a 100 cell. Jetex have some good cats on thier site to fab your own up and Milltek sell HJS cats which are the finest flowing but expensive.
Didn't want to start a new thread so will pop my question here. Just got my BCS Tbe today with there 100 cell sport cat, but now I read that the 100 cell cats can bring up fault codes and can fail the MOT. Has anyone here had any problems with the BCS dp with 100 cell cat?
