sports cat

looking at getting a sports cat and downpipe in next few weeks,. but because there is a lamda sensor after the cat will this turn on eml as will be different to standard cat. or what if i was to decat it. would it give the same problem. any info?

Decat will more than likely give an EML but any decent aftermarket DP and race cat ought to come pre-drilled for the sensors to plug into. Loads of people run 200 and even 100 cell race cats and haven't seen any lights AFAIK

yeah de-cats will chuck up a light but they do spacers that cure the problem. only thing is taking it on and off each year for the MOT have a search mate theres more than enough info!

my prefered option is sports cat. But just tryin to cautious about it. Have a friend making it all for me but cat is bein ordered in. Want it to be right. Thanks for the info

ive got a 100 cell cat, and i think it may be the cause of engine management light, but im not totally sure yet.

passes MOTs not bother though

Ive had de-cat and no lights on at all so thats rubbish. Currently running 200cell sports cat which also wont bring up any faults

its cool, im putting my de-cat on in 2 weeks so i hope mine doesnt put up a light. fingers crossed
