Sports Cat100cell from ebay... CHEAP!

Hi all,

I managed to pick up a new sports cat 100cell off ebay for a stupid price.

Won it Sunday & arrived today. It is listed for a mk5 golf but as we all know it fits our motors!

I wanted to go stage 2 with a decat but the mot issue was putting me off. So with this, hopefully it will still pass!

I'm hoping to get it fitted this weekend, so will give a better review then.

As I said, this was stupidly cheap - so if it's crap no big deal..... but these decat pipes from ebay look pretty solid, so this should be as well!?

Exactly.... as long as it lasts a few years - I'll be happy!

I got it for a whooping............ £110 delivered!!!!! Cheaper than a decat!

The Seller is uk-performance-uk (has decent feedback as well)! Usually has them on a buy it now for £240 but often does them on a auction.

At the end of the day, it's only a pipe & being so cheap, it's worth a punt!

I agree. Only thing i may question is the effect of the cat and if it will pass MOT.

I'll soon find out, as my MOT is due in Sept!

It can't do any damage to the engine...... not even to my wallet at this price! Either I'm gonna have a real bargain or just wasted a night out beers money!

I can be the tester.... if it doesn't fall apart - could be a cheap way to go stage 2 & not worry about finding a mot 'decat friendly' garage!

The welds look fine to me. I take it you dont weld if you think they are crap.

I do weld mate, quite a lot. And I didn't say they look crap said they weren't great.

I'm sure there was plenty of penetration, just not very uniform. But as has been seen, no ones gonna look under the car

the welds look ok to me they are blue it places so looks like decent penetration

well I'll be doing some penetration testing tomorrow night, as it's booked in to be installed!

Hopefully the 9 year old chineese kid that done the welding, did a good job!
