Just dropped it off to the VW specialist for fitting & he was shocked at the price & reckons it'll do the job.... then tried to sell me a Milltek catback to go with it! I said, what do you think - I've just bought this off eBay!? haha

Exactly... even at £240 it's still one hell of a bargain, especially it passes through the MOT!
Picked up the motor & honestly............. I love it! Now it's got a roar when I put my foot down & it's not too loud at all when crusing!
The garage had no issues when fitting - they only had to move the fiting bracket, as the forks didn't line up - which is nothing! He was impressed with it & this is from a Milltek authorised seller!
Has it got more power - it should have but I can't confirm for sure, but I'm now going stage 2 anyway, so it will then!
Is it going to get me through an MOT or last, only time will tell?! I will update with the MOT, as mine is due in a few weeks!

You spend so much on your car in the first place but you cheap out on a downpipe...those wields...heck no rather a pay a bit more myself (I bet it will crack in no time!)
When is no time..... weeks, months or years!?
I can buy another 2-3, just incase..... it'll still be cheaper than a big name!
Anyway, if it does crack.... I'll get my money back from the seller, as the seller is a business!

So let me guess u recommend a branded 1 because every 1 else said it was good but at the end of the day this cat could b as good as any other but how will you know unless u give it a go and for 110 quid as jammy78 says we have all spent more on a night out on the drink so what's 110 if it lasts 6 months or a year
Exactly! Plus if I had spent a load on a more downpipe, I'll probably be knocking it as well. It's not going to be the same quality as a milltek etc, but it'll do the same job (for all, half, fraction of the time..... yet to be established)
I'll make sure to keep this thread updated - if it ever does crack, to warn people! But I haven't seen anyone complain about the ebay / cheapo decat pipes & it's probably the same people making it!?
I also forgot to mention - so far NO engine warning lights, as I believe these come on after fitting a decat & stage 2 is the only way to get rid of it......
This seller always listings items as buy it now & auction types. So I'd wait a while, once this post is long forgotten about & I'm pretty sure, you'll get this around the £100 - £150 price, maybe cheaper!?

At the end of the day, its a tube with a flange welded on the end of it, they are all the same. You don't get a better product by paying for the big name, and in some cases an inferior product. I am not saying ebay downpipes are 100% perfect, but there isnt that much difference between them and Milltek etc, certainly not enough to warrant the hundreds of extra £££

No problems as yet! It gives a nice roar only when you floor it!
Waiting for my MOT, to see if it passes! If it doesn't, you might as well get a decat!
