Spraying front and rear badges

What's the best way to spray then badges and the ibiza writing. Is it better to use plastidip or proper spray paint?

I used plastidip, on a small surface like the badges it will look fine. Also probably alot easier to apply.

Ok this guy makes it look alot easier then it is, but should give you an idea.

Haha that does look easy but it will be harder. If you have Vance to take any pictures and send them me would be great just so I can see what the finished product will be like

Just plastidip my back one this morning, kept the badge on the, done 3 coats then rubbed off overspray, really easy to be honest

here you go bud,

1 during in day light




done the idiot thing of removing over spray whilst it was still wet on the boot release

1 tonight covered in damp



and one close up,



i just got to finish getting the overspray out of between the b,z and a but it does just rub off

I plasti dipped the badges and grill on my old leon, no close ups unfortunately. It was very durable though!

Probably easier to just wrap them on the car to be honest!

In my experience on the leon it's not that difficult on the car. To remove the rear badge you need to strip the bootlid down. For the front badge you'll have to take the grill out and try to remove it from behind. If it's anything like the leon then the badge will not pop out easy, loads of stuff, easy to break clips!

That sounds like a disaster plan for me . Thought it was easier. On my BMW you just pop them off with a little help from the screwdriver. Guess i'll try to do them on the car

I had mine plastidip - looks really neat and up to now, very durable. Will post picture up (when I have made 15 posts) haha
