Hi guys

I’m after a bit of advice really, I’ve checked the forums and can’t find much.

I’ve had my diesel FR from new 2014, it was my company car but bought it end of lease. It’s got full service history etc, and on about 108k now.

About 2 months or so ago, it’s started to have a squeak when you put I’d say over half throttle down, but only between 1st to 2nd , 2nd to 3rd. It sounds like it’s coming from the pedal but it isn’t. I took it to seat (car was in for parking sensor fault) who said it’s the driver side engine mount and quoted something crazy like £350.

Ive taken it to a very good mechanic who had said the engine mounts are perfectly fine and there isnt a problem with them. He said it isn’t a issue but it’s more annoying.

It only really happens when your doing hard short changes between gears, but this isn’t any sort of gear box or clutch noise it’s coming from the engine somewhere and only when your taking your foot on and off the gas.

I don’t drive like a mad man most of the time so you don’t hear it day to day but it is annoying.

Had anyone got any ideas?

Cheers
